Habitual Offender Nabbed

VISAKHAPATNAM: Adding to the sprouting theft cases in the city, a 19-year-old was arrested in the charges of several thefts in the city here Monday. The arrested was identified as JK Chaitanya Raj Kumar, a native and resident of Gajuwaka. Police recovered seven and half tola gold and 20 tola silver from him. According to the police, the accused is an intermediate dropout and a habitual offender. He had been accused in three house burglary cases at IV town and Kancharapalem and was also put in juvenile detention ealier for the same.

However, even after his release, Raj Kumar did not mend his ways and looted around seven and half tola of gold ornaments and 20 kgs of silver from three houses at Burma camp and Marripalem. Acting on the complaints, the police investigated and arrested the accused and recovered all the stolen items. He is currently in remand.
