KURNOOL: Police arrested four matka gambling organisers and seized Rs 4 lakh cash, matka slips to the tune of Rs 6 lakh, charts, three cell phones and gambling equipment from them at Vasavi Nagar here Tuesday.
According to SP A Ravi Krishna, K Chandraiah has been organising gambling from his house in Vasavi Nagar for the last few months.
His three accomplices are: B Srinivaslu, a resident of Budhavarapet; V Raju, resident of weaker section colony; and RP Balaram Singh of NTR Nagar in the city.
Police led by ASP S Babu Rao and DSP DV Ramana Murthy raided the house on Tuesday. The four tried to flee, but the police chased and caught them.
