VISAKHAPATNAM: In yet another incident, a complaint was filed against a GVMC official for assaulting and abusing a person at Poorna Market in One Town area here Thursday. The official was identified as Assistant Medical and Health Officer Sankara Rao. According to One Town CI V Srinivas, Poorna Market Merchants Association president K Vasu filed a complaint against Sankara Rao.The AMHO visited the market for monitoring drainage extension works. Sources said that the AMHO marked some area near Rajeev’s shop. When the latter sought an explanation, Sankara Rao replied harshly. However Police said that they would reveal further details after investigating.
