ELURU:As many as 15 persons, including three schoolchildren, were injured when a school bus fell into a 15-foot deep pit at Kanavaram village in Buttayigudem mandal Friday. The condition of eight persons is said to be critical. A team of 30 people, including teaching and non-teaching staff of Pippara Public School, boarded the bus at Pippara village, to visit Gubbala Mangamma temple in Buttayigudem mandal. When the bus reached Kanavaram, the bus tumbled into the pit due to heavy rain. Locals rushed to the spot and saved them.However, the condition of eight persons - M Manga Tayaru, K Srinivas, B Madhavi, CHV Rao, K S Naraayana, P Lokesh, KM Lakshmi and B Phanidra - is serious. The injured were shifted to a hospital at Jangareddigudem.
