HYDERABAD:The State government has divided the territorial jurisdiction of Visakhapatnam ACB Range into Urban and Rural.
According to a GO issued Saturday, the DG of ACB told the government that the present territorial jurisdiction of Vizag ACB Range extends to the whole district, which is coterminous with Vizag Police Commissionerate, coversing seven madals, and Rural Police district, covering the rest, with a population of 25 lakh each as on day.
Since the present ACB set up would not be able to cope with additional work, the DG ACB proposed to strengthen the existing set up, with two Range Headquarters.
