VIJAYAWADA:A total number of 294 post-graduate medical seats were filled on the first day of the PG medical counselling at NTRUHS Wednesday till 6 pm. The counselling will continue till midnight.
K Sowmya, who secured the first rank in PGMET bagged a seat in AMC, Visakhapatnam. Second ranker V Jayavardhan, also opted for the same college, while C Sandhya, who secured the third rank, opted for Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad. All three opted for MD General Medicine.
On the first day, counselling was held for 1 to 800 rankers. Out of the first 50, 28 have opted for General Medicine, seven Pediatrics, five Radiology and three Orthopaedics. Only one opted for surgery, while four chose OBG and two DVL. All seats were filled under General Category.
