VISAKHAPATNAM:Parliamentary Affairs secretary, New Delhi, Afzal Amannllah has announced that the 17th All-India Government Whips conference would be held here on September 29 and 30. As many as 130 government whips from all the states would attend the conference, he added.
Afzal, who arrived here Tuesday, held a meeting with the State Government officials to discuss arrangements for the conference. The officials decided to hold the meeting at Novotel Hotel in the city. Afzal asked the district administration to arrange a visit to various tourist places in the region during the meeting.
The secretary also asked collector N Yuvaraj to share the duties by appointing officials exclusively for the arrangements of transport, accommodation and conference to the guests. Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly secretary Satyanarayana was present.
