PM Modi's Visit to City Put Off

The chief secretary IVR Krishna Rao and Director-General of Police and several other officials arrived Visakhapatinam to review the arrangements for Modi’s visit.

VISAKHAPATNAM : Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s much-anticipated July 16 visit has been cancelled. The Prime Minister’s Office informed the collector about the cancellation Wednesday. In fact, chief secretary IVR Krishna Rao and Director-General of Police JV Ramudu and several other officials from Hyderabad and New Delhi arrived here to review the arrangements for Modi’s visit. Till afternoon, the chief secretary and the DGP visited the Steel Plant and held discussions on the PM’s local programmes and arrangements. Both the officials visited various departments in the plant. RINL chairman-cum-managing director P Madhusudan welcomed the officials and explained the steel production.

However, in the noon, the PMO informed the collector that the visit was cancelled and the new date will be informed later.
