RAJAHMUNDRY: Chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate the Godavari Maha Pushkarams (GMP) at the Pushkar Ghat here at 6.26 am on Tuesday. Later, along with his family members, he will take a holy dip in river Godavari at the Pushkara Ghat, according to a press release here on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Kanchi Seer Jayendra Saraswati Swamiji would take a holy dip in the river at the Pushkara Ghat here at 6.26 am on Tuesday, his junior Vijayendra Saraswati would follow suit at Gopada Kshetram in Kovvur in West Godavari district at the same time.

Naidu’s Itinerary

  • The CM will inaugurate the model temples at SKR College for Women  5.15 pm
  • He will flag off a rally of 1,000 folk artistes at the Pushkara Ghat at  5.30 pm
  • He will receive the ‘Pushkara Akhanda Jyothi’, in which 1,500 sportspersons will participate  6.15 pm
  • He will participate in the ‘Akhanda Nitya Harati’ to Godavari Matha at the Pushkar Ghat  6.30 pm
  • He will inaugurate the sky lanterns at the road-cum-rail bridge over river Godavari  7.00 pm
  • He will attend the musical programme of music director Taman at the Government College Grounds  7.45 pm
  • He will deliver an address at the same venue  8.15 pm
  • He will witness a Kuchipudi Ring Dance programme by Ambika at Pushkar Ghat  8.25 pm
  • He will witness a Kuchipudi dance programme by Swapna Sundari at  the Government College Ground   8.45 pm
