HYDERABAD: Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s bête noire and YSRC leader Botcha Satyanarayana has pressed for the former’s resignation in connection with the stampede in Rajahmundry on Tuesday.According to him, director Boyapati Sreenu was seen directing Naidu and his family members at the main Pushkar Ghat where the public was supposed to take the holy dip.
The chief minister was posing for the camera instead of showing the fervour, which the event demands, making a mockery of the ritual, he criticised.
He wanted to know whether a case was filed in this regard and if Naidu’s name was included in it. “Had the incident occurred while shooting a film, a case would have been registered against the director, actor and crew by now,” he said.
