700 Buses to Vishakhapatam From Rajahmundry

RAJAHMUNDRY:APSRTC is running 700 buses to Visakhapatnam from Rajahmundry from Sunday, to ease pilgrim rush. Pilgrim flow into the city from North Andhra districts has increased substantially. As thousands of pilgrims were stranded at the bus station, RTC officials have pressed into service 700 buses. Meanwhile, APSRTC is not charging additional amount from the passengers.APSRTC managing director D Sambasiva Rao and DGP JV Ramudu monitored the situation at the bus station.Meanwhile, chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu stayed at the Central Bus Station from 2.30 am to 5.30 am on Sunday, to monitor the pilgrim rush. On the directions of chief minister, RTC officials ran 18 buses to Visakhapatnam in the wee hours of Sunday.
