BC Corporation Official Held in Bribe Case

The ACB officials arrested BC Corporation executive director K Jeevan Babu for demanding and accepting bribe.

VISAKHAPATNAM:The ACB officials arrested BC Corporation executive director K Jeevan Babu for demanding and accepting bribe from a farmer to do a work in the latter’s favour at MVP Colony in Visakhapatnam Tuesday. Jeevan Babu demanded and accepted bribe from farmer S Adinarayana of Narsipatnam for releasing his loan amount sanctioned by the BC Corporation.

According to sources, Adinarayana secured a loan of Rs 1.5 lakh from the BC Corporation to start tent house business at his native Narsipatnam. While approaching the corporation for sanction of the loan, Jeevan Babu demanded Rs 15,000 from the farmer. Vexed with the harassment, Adinarayana approached ACB officials a few days back.

After verifying the facts, ACB DSP A Ramakrishna Prasad laid a trap and caught Jeevan Babu red-handed while accepting the bribe at the MVP Colony  . Cases have been booked and Jeevan Babu would be produced in ACB court.
