Panel to Visit Modern Capitals for Inspiration

Capital advisory panel is expected to visit Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.

HYDERABAD:Even though AP new capital Amaravati’s blueprint is ready, the capital advisory panel is expected to visit Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan and a few other newly-built ultra-modern capital cities in order to borrow modern architectural elements from them.

“We will soon be visiting some more countries such as Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan to study their modern capital cities as advised by the Prime Minister,” said IT minister P Raghunatha Reddy soon after the Cabinet meeting in Rajahmundry on Wednesday.

Kazakhstan moved its capital from Almaty to Astana in 1997. The city is known for its architectural marvel. The same is the case with Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan. Both are newly constructed world-class capital cities with skyscrapers, skyways and ultra-modern infrastructure.
