Durga Flyover by July Next Year: Uma

VIJAYAWADA:  Irrigation Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao has said every measure is being taken for completion of the proposed Kanaka Durga flyover by June-July next year, well before the commencement of Krishna Pushkarams and the tenders for the project will be called in 45 days.

He said already a survey has been conducted and primary DPR has been prepared for the project. “Impressing upon Ministry of Surface Transport officials in Delhi on the importance of Krishna Pushkarams in August next year, which is expected to attract lakhs of devotees, we have asked them to modify the schedule accordingly. We are expecting the works to be completed by June or July,” he said.
