AP Slashes MBBS Convenor Quota Fee?

HYDERABAD: Giving relief to medical students, the Andhra Pradesh government is understood to have decided to reduce the fee for the convenor quota seats or category-A in the MBBS course from Rs 60,000 to Rs 10,000.

According to sources, it has been decided to hike the fee for 35% management seats which are in category-B, to Rs 11 lakh per annum. However, the government refrained from changing the fee structure of the NRI quota (15% seats). Paying no heed to the demand of the managements for conducting their own entrance test for their quota, the government is learnt to have decided to hold a separate entrance test for the management seats.
