Special Train Services Extended

VISAKHAPATNAM: To clear extra rush in the ensuing summer, the East Coast Railway will extend the special train services for 13 more trips each. As a result, the trains - Sambalpur-Yesvantapur-Sambalpur special express (no.08301/08302), Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam special express (no.08501/08502), and Visakhapatnam-Tirupati-Visakhapatnam weekly super-fast express (no.02873/02874) - will be operated between April 1 and June 30.

The Sambalpur-Yesvantapur special express train (no.08301) will leave Sambalpur at 8.05 am on Wednesdays from April 1 to June 24 (13 trips) will reach Yesvatapur at 4.30 pm on Thursdays. In the return direction, the Yesvantapur-Sambalpur special express train (no.08302) will leave Yesvantapur at 12.30 am on Fridays (midnight of Thursday-Friday) from April 3 to June 26, will reach Sambalpur at 6.15 am on Saturday.

In both the directions, the trains will stop at Bargarh Road, Balangir, Titlaghar, Kesinga, Muniguda, Rayagada, Parvatipuram, Bobbili, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, Renigunta, Tirupati, Pakala, Chittoor, Katpadi, Jolarpettai and Krishnarajapuram.

Similarly, the Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad special express train (no.08501) will leave Visakhapatnam on Tuesdays from April 7 to June 30 (13 trips) at 11 pm which will reach Secunderabad the next day at 11.45 am. In the return direction, the Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam special express train (no.08502) will leave Secunderabad on Wednesdays from April 8 to July 1 (13 trips) at 4.30 pm which will reach Visakhapatnam the next morning at 6.30. These trains will also stop at Duvvada, Anakapalle, Tuni, Annavaram, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Tadepalligudem, Eluru, Vijayawada, Khammam, Warangal and Kazipet between Visakhapatnam and Secuderabad in both the directions.

The Visakhapatnam-Tirupati weekly super-fast express train (no.02873) will leave Visakhapatnam on Mondays from April 6 to June 29 at 4.45 am and reach Tirupati at 4.30 am the next morning. In the return direction, the Tirupati-Visakhapatnam weekly super-fast express train (no.02874) will leave Tirupati on Tuesdays at 4 pm (13 trips) which will reach Visakhapatnam at 5.15 am the next morning. The trains will halt at Duvvada, Anakapalle, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Vijayawadaand Renigunta.
