VISAKHAPATNAM: Sankalp, a special education and advisory centre for children with special needs and being run under the aegis of Navy Wives’ Welfare Association (NWWA) at Nausena Baugh, celebrated its 25th annual day with a vibrant display of talent at the Samudrika Naval Auditorium here Thursday.
Eastern Naval Command chief vice-admiral Satish Soni and NWWA (Eastern Region) president Payal Sone graced the event. On the occasion, the Sankalp team a short film - ‘A special Child Speaks’, which was produced to mark the anniversary.
The hour-long extravaganza, which depicted the enriching experiences and various emotions that one goes through while dealing with special children, was enacted in the form of various colours through song and dance sequences and appreciated by one and all.
The contribution of the staff who have been with Sankalp for over 15 years was also acknowledged by felicitating them with certificates and gifts.
