Two Burglars Held in Night Patrolling

VIJAYAWADA: The police arrested two burglars during night patrolling in the last two days and recovered gold ornaments and cash worth `1 lakh from one and 72 grams of gold and four mobile phones from the other.

According to police, Sk Jani Basha (21), who was released from Eluru Jail on March 2, returned to his house in Ramalingeswara Peta of Vijayawada and resorted to burglary in the house of one K Vasanthakumari in his own locality on the same night. On March 4, he broke into Lizy beauty parlour and stole `2,000, but was caught by the night patrol. On being questioned, he admitted to the crime and said he had given a stolen gold chain to his mother and another to his sister. 

The other accused B Ramesh (23) was released from jail on Feb 1. Since then he stole gold ornaments and mobile phones from different houses in Vijayawada, Guntur and Tenali. He was caught while trying to sell the stolen valuables.
