VIZIANAGARAM: Minister for Civil Aviation P Ashok Gajapathi Raju directed the officials to complete the laying of new roads and road expansion works on a priority basis. He convened a review meeting with the Panchayati Raj, Roads and Buildings engineers of Vizianagaram and Srikakulam Friday.
Addressing the officials, Ashok directed the officials to expedite the road works in Vizianagaram. The minister asked the officials to take up works to lay a six-lane road from Mayuri Junction to Balaji Junction and widening of road from Naidu Function Hall to the Cantonment. Ashok also directed the officials to start the road expansion works from Ambati Satram Junction to Kothapeta water tank.
Collector MM Naik explained various works proposed in Vizianagaram town. The collector told the minister that proposals had been submitted to the World Bank team for sanction of `150 crore to take up the Roads and Buildings works.
