ONGOLE: Four revenue department employees, including a tahsildar, have been placed under suspension by Prakasam district collector G S R K R Vijaya Kumar on Monday for issuing pattadar passbooks to ineligible persons. Konkanamitla mandal tahsildar E Chandravati, the then revenue inspector SK Samimulla, VRO I Chalama Reddy and surveyor B Srinuwere suspended for issueing 62 passbooks for 559 acre land to ineligible persons belonging to Kanakanamitla mandal. This led to a major land dispute and resulted in the murder of one K Narasimha Reddy, 32, belonging to Putlurivaripalem on Feb 23.
