RAJAHMUNDRY: Chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has decided to install the statue of former chief minister and founder of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) N T Rama Rao in the middle of the River Godavari in connection with the ensuing Godavari Pushkarams to be held in July this year. The statue will be erected on the lines of the Buddha statue in Hussainsagar in Hyderabad.
ND Teja, a student of Rajiv Gandhi Degree College, designed the statue of NT Rama Rao. The statue will be developed as an important tourist attraction in the future.
The design of the statue received laurels from various quarters.
