75,000 Likely to Appear for ICET on May 16

VISAKHAPATNAM: For admission into MBA and MCA courses being offered by various universities and their affiliated colleges in Andhra Pradesh, the Andhra University Wednesday released the notification for the Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET)-2015.

About 75,000 candidates are expected to apply for the exam scheduled to be held on May 16. The submission of online applications and registrations will commence from March 14.

AU vice-chancellor and ICET Committee chairman GSN Raju said that the university is conducting the test for the first time after state bifurcation. The test will be held from 10 am to 12.30 pm for 200 marks with multiple choice questions in three sections - Analytical Ability (data sufficiency and problem solving), Mathematical Ability (arithmetic, algebraic, geometric and statistical) and Communication Ability (vocabulary, computer technology and functional grammar). Further details on the syllabus, application form, marks and downloading of hall-tickets can be obtained from the websites www.apicet15.org, www.apsche.org, and www.andhrauniversity.edu.in.

Corrections in the online application forms, if any, can be made from April 21 to 26. The hall-tickets could be downloaded from April 30. The preliminary key would be released on May 20 and objections would be received till May 23. The final key along with ranks of candidates will be announced on May 28.

On the occasion, Raju inaugurated the Office of the Convener of AP ICET-2015 adjacent to the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the AUCE campus.

Rector EA Narayana, registrar V Uma Maheswara Rao, ICET convener ChV Ramachandra Murthy and others were present.

 Fees & Dates

Registration fee `250 to be paid online.

Last date for submission of online applications and registration April 13 (without late fee).

With late fee of `500, April 20.

Late fee of `2,000, April 27; `5,000 May 5 and `10,000 May 11.

Those paying `10,000 must appear for the exam in Vizag centre.
