Debt-ridden Bus Drives Drinks Poison

VISAKHAPATNAM: Unable to bear the burden of debts, an APSRTC bus driver attempted suicide by consuming poison at the main RTC bus depot of S. Kota Wednesday. The driver was identified as M Apparao, from S. Kota. His condition is stable.

According to S. Kota SI D Sagarbabu, Apparao, a driver with APSRTC, was not able to bear his debts and therefore took the extreme step at one of the rooms at the depot Wednesday afternoon. His colleagues who noticed him, shifted him to S. Kota government hospital and later to KGH in Vizag.
