Tullur Ready to Receive Naidu on Ugadi

GUNTUR:The district administration is making elaborate arrangements for Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s visit to Tullur mandal for participating in Ugadi (Telugu New Year Day) celebrations.

The State Government  had decided to celebrate Ugadi in the new capital region and Ananthavaram village of Tullur mandal has been selected to host the event. The celebrations will include ‘Panchanga Sravanam’ and cultural programmes.

The Chief Minister will celebrate Telugu New Year with farmers of the capital region as a thanksgiving gesture for their support to land pooling for the construction of new capital city.

On Sunday, district collector Kantilal Dhande along with other higher officials visited Ananthavaram and reviewed the arrangements. They also had a bird’s eye view of the village from a nearby hillock. The officials concerned were asked to make arrangements for preparation of Ugadi Pachhadi in large quantity sufficient for 20,000 people expected to participate in the festivities.
