Two Dead in Separate Accidents

SRIKAKULAM:Two persons were killed while another man sustained grievous injuries in two separate road accidents that occurred here in the intervening night of SaturdaySunday. The deceased were identified as Ramana (41), a resident of  Etcherla village and T Krishna Rao (47), resident of Lingalapeta village of Etcherla  mandal.

In the first incident, Ramana (41) an Assistant engineer at BR  Ambedhkar university was crossing the road at Etcherla junction on NH 16, when a speedy lorry ran over him.  Ramana died on the spot.

In another incident, T Krishna Rao (47), a home guard attached to Etcherla police station was out on night vigilance near Tamminaidu Peta village, along with a constable Appalasuri, when their motor cycle was hit by a speeding car. Krishna Rao, who was riding pillion died on the spot. Appalasuri was shifted to RIMS hospital.
