Daylight Burglary at Prof’s House

 VIZIANAGARAM:  In yet another jolt to the police, burglars looted a house in broad daylight and fled with six-and-a-half tola of gold and 10 tola silver at PSR Colony in Vizianagaram town Monday. The house is owned by D Rama Rao, an Andhra University professor.

According to II Town inspector of police Y Kishore Kumar, the house is owned by professor couple D Rama Rao who works at Andhra University and his wife V Rajeswari who works at a private college in Vizianagaram. Rama Rao travels to Vizag daily for work.

As usual Monday morning, the couple left for work in the morning after the locking the house. Rama Rao, who returned at 5 pm saw the back door broken open and realised that his house has been looted. He immediately informed the police who rushed to the place along with CLUES team.

“The CLUES team found some finger prints and some other clues. We will nab the accused soon,” said SI Kishore Kumar.

A theft case has been registered and investigation is on.
