Naidu Seeks Special Aid from Nabard

HYDERABAD:Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has sought special debt assistance and co-operation in the form of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects in the agricultural sector in the State from Nabard.

According to a press release issued by CMO on Tuesday, at a meeting with a delegation led by Nabard Chairman HK Bhanwala at the Secretariat here on Tuesday, Naidu sought funds for agriculture and allied activities from Nabard. “The State government is keen to give a big boost to micro-irrigation this year,” he said. Funds under the Nabard Infrastructure Development assistance, will be used for Food Parks, Floriculture, Fisheries and Horticulture, Naidu informed the delegation.

The Nabard chief told Naidu that the bank gave Rs 12,000 crore for Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) last year.
