Plans on Model Villages by April 10: Collector

VIJAYAWADA:The district administration is making efforts to have an action plan ready by April 10 for the development of model villages adopted by parliamentarians in the district under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY).

Participating in a video conference with higher officials in New Delhi, collector Babu A said in villages — Ponnavaram, Gollamandala and  Kankatava, adopted by MPs Y Sujana Chowdary,  K Srinivas (Nani) and K Narayana in the district — preliminary survey has been completed. He said a village adopted by K Narayana was later adopted by an industrialist; hence he had made a change and adopted a new village.

He explained that they have preliminary development plans ready and by April 10, they will have a full-fledged action plan ready.
