200 Kg Ganja Seized, 6 Held, 2 Absconding

VISAKHAPATNAM:The rural police arrested six people and seized about 200 kg of dry ganja at Mulakalapalle village in Ravikamatam mandal of the district Thursday. The arrested were identified as C Chanda Rao, K Appa Rao, G Nageswara Rao, Y Sanyasi Rao, Rajana Srinu and R Sriramulu.

Acting on a tip-off, the Kothakota police raided a house where the accused were making arrangements for transporting 200 kg ganja worth Rs 20 lakh. However, G Suri and G Appala Naidu fled from the spot after noticing the police. The cops registered a case and took up investigation. They also launched a search to nab two other accused who are at large.
