VIZIANAGARAM:The police exhumed the body of 15-year-old dalit girl, from the graveyard at Malyada village of Nellimarla mandal in the district Thursday, and sent it for postmortem. She had allegedly committed suicide unable to bear sexual harassment.

The minor dalit girl who was studying class 10th hung herself from the ceiling fan on March 7 after the accused allegedly filmed her nude while she was bathing and used the video to blackmail her for sexual favours, along with two other men. The incident came to light Wednesday.

They also collected information from the villagers and are questioning the elders of the village who had reportedly held a ‘panchayati’ after the incident and directed the accused to pay `30,000 each to the parents of the victim for their ghastly act.
