YSRC to Boycott AP Assembly for Rest of Session

HYDERABAD:  The YSR Congress is likely to skip the remaining five days of the ongoing budget session of the Assembly from Monday.

On Monday, instead of attending the session, the party MLAs will be marching from the Ambedkar Statue at the Tank Bund to the Assembly premises to express their protest over the way the House is being run.

After reaching the Assembly premises, they will undertake protests in front of the Ambedkar statue situated on the Assembly premises.

The YSRC had staged a walkout on Friday alleging that their party chief and leader of the opposition YS Jaganmohan Reddy was not allowed to speak on farmer’s issues in the House. On that day, the speaker had suspended eight members of YSRC from the Assembly for disrupting the proceedings.

According to sources, the YSRC members would be visiting the site of the proposed Pattiseema lift irrigation scheme on March 24 to take stock of the situation.
