Four Killed in Separate Accidents

TIRUPATI: Four persons died in separate accidents in Chittoor district on Saturday.

Two were killed in a mishap at Nagarimangalam in Puttur mandal after a Tamil Nadu government bus plying from Tirupati to Chennai collided with a bike on Saturday evening. The victims, who were riding the two-wheeler were going from Narayanavaram to Puttur.

Puttur SI Ramanjaneyulu has registered a case and the bodies have been sent to Puttur Government Hospital for postmortem.

In separate incidents in Mallanur, an inebriated railway employee, Sundararajulu (50), died after slipping and falling down from a running train on the Mallanur railway platform. An unidentified body of a middle-aged person was found near the railway track at Gundanayanapalli, half a kilometre from Mallanur.

The bodies have been sent for postmortem.
