Additional Coaches in Vizag-bound Trains

VISAKHAPATNAM: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) will permanently augment additional coaches in Jodhpur, Sai Nagar Shirdi and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) bound trains from Puri as well as Chennai, Nizamuddin and Sainagar Shirdi bound trains from Visakhapatnam with effect from April 2015.

Based on an analysis of the Passenger Traffic Profile on various routes, temporary augmentation of coaches in several Express trains is usually carried out.

But now, the Puri-Jodhpur-Puri Express (18473/18474), the Puri-Sai Nagar Shirdi-Puri Express (18407/18408) and the Puri-LTT-Puri Express (22866/22865) will be augmented with an additional AC 3-tier coach each permanently in both the directions. These trains will run with 23 coaches respectively.

Similarly, the Visakhapatnam-Sai Nagar Shirdi-Visakhapatnam Express (18503/18504) and Visakhapatnam-Chennai-Visakhapatnam Express (22869/22870) will be augmented with an AC 3-tier coach each in both the directions and will run with 19 coaches.

Apart from this, Visakhapatnam-Nizamuddin-Visakhapatnam Express trains (12803/12804 and 12807/12808) will be augmented with an AC 3-tier coach each permanently in both the directions and will run with 23 coaches.

The ECoR will also augment additional coaches temporarily in important trains as per feasibility and demand.
