Barber Held for Stealing Hundi Cash

CHITTOOR A contract barber at Kanipakam temple K Bhaskar was arrested by police for pilfering hundi offerings while counting the collection at the temple Monday.

According to temple EO Poornachandra Rao, Bhaskar, a contract barber at the Kalyana Katta was drafted for counting hundi offerings Monday.

Bhaskar was caught by security personnel with a bundle of `53,040 cash hidden in his underwear during checking while he was leaving the counting hall.

Police arrested Bhaskar based on a complaint by temple authorities.
