SRIKAKULAM: A daily labourer died when a partially built slab crashed at Palavalasa village of Burja mandal of the district Monday. The deceased has been identified as U Gopal (40), of Lamburu village of Palakonda mandal.
According to sources, five labourers have been engaged in the construction activities of a government school building at Palavalasa. At around 1 pm, all of a sudden, the slab which was partly laid, fell on him, killing him on the spot. Burja SI N Lakshman registered a case. The body has been sent for postmortem to Palakonda area hospital. The deceased is survived by a son and two daughters. Investigation is on.
