VIJAYAWADA: A private company employee, M Naga Surya Durga Prasad (30), allegedly committed suicide by hanging at his house at Muralinagar in Gunadala area here in the early hours of Wednesday after losing heavy amount in IPL betting.
According to police, the victim’s body was found hanging from a ceiling of a room at about 3 am. The police said that Prasad ended his life after he lost about Rs 4 lakh. The victim had borrowed the money and when the money was lost in betting, he was forced to take the extreme step. Machavaram SI D Suresh is investigating the case.
