4 Gosala Officials Suspended over Death of Four Calves

RATNAGIRI:As many as four employees working in the gosala of Sri Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy Temple were suspended on Sunday for hiding the death of four calves, a week ago. Temple executive officer E Jagannadham issued the suspension orders.

As the death of four calves created sensation, endowments minister P Manikyala Rao, endowments commissioner YV Anuradha and deputy commissioner D Bramarabha enquired about the incident and directed the temple EO to take action against the staff concerned.According to Jagannadham, there were 126 cows and calves in the gosala. The temple management was providing 250 kg of food, 500 kg of fodder grass and one bag of maize for them every day.
