VIJAYAWADA: Opposing the state government’s move to acquire land in the capital region by invoking Land Acquisition Act 2013 (as amended by Ordinance 2015), former MP Vadde Sobhanadreeswara Rao has said that it is only to force the farmers, unwilling to part with their their land under the scheme, to fall in line.

Speaking to newsmen here on Friday, the former agriculture minister said that the TDP government was hell-bent on taking their land forcibly and hence it was using the Land Acquisition Act to bully them into submission.
