ICET Conducted Peacefully

VISAKHAPATNAM:The Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test (APICET) 2015 for MBA and MCA admissions, was conducted successfully Saturday. Over 91 per cent candidates appeared across the state and 6,576 didn’t turn up. The results will be announced on May 28.

Admissions will be conducted through counselling for 40,360 MBA seats in 407 colleges and 15,850 MCA seats in 221 colleges across Andhra Pradesh. APICET-2015 convener ChV Ramachandra Murthy stated that the exam was conducted successfully.

Earlier in the day, HRD minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao selected Set A-W question paper for the exam. Anakapalle MP M Srinivasa Rao, Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) chairman L Venugopala Reddy, vice-chairman P Vijaya Prakash, Andhra University vice-chancellor GSN Raju and others were present.

On the occasion, Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that all the competitive and admission tests were being conducted in a planned manner due to which results are being announced a few days before the scheduled dates. As per the latest schedule, the EAMCET 2015 results will be released on May 21 and counselling will be conducted from June first week. The DSC results are scheduled to be announced on June 1, while the schools will commence from June 15.

We are planning to bring reforms in the academic activities and the academic calendar will be released shortly. We want to bring more funds from University Grants Commission and all vacant posts will be filled in the universities soon, said the minister.
