Helmet Mandatory in Eluru from July 1

ELURU:As per the directions of Director-General of Police, wearing helmets and seat belts will be mandatory in Eluru from July 1, according to DSP KGV Saritha.

Helmet.jpgParticipating in a meeting conducted on road safety organised by Vasavi Club here Sunday, she said the decision has been taken by the government to ensure travellers’ safety.

If the vehicle-users fail to don helmets and fasten seat bealts fines will be imposed from July 1, the DSP warned. Massive police checks will be organised, she added.
