JNTUK Plans to Offer Dual Degree Courses

KAKINADA: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Kakinada (JNTUK) convened a meeting with the principals of its affiliated colleges here Friday wherein the participants discussed the issue of offering dual degree programmes in collaboration with foreign universities.

University vice-chancellor VSS Kumar said that the state government had directed the JNTUK and JNTU-Anantapur to introduce integrated collaborative courses in its 40 autonomous and permanent affiliated colleges, as per the guidelines of University Grants Commission and All India Council for Technical Education.

He directed the principals to identify reputed foreign universities that offer job-oriented courses so the JNTUK can collaborate with them to offer dual degree courses, which, in turn, would pave the way for new technologies and  international exposure.

Registrar GVRP Raju, rector BP Rao and Prof. P Uday Bhaskar were present.
