Meet on Entrepreneurship Begins

VIJAYAWADA: A two-day international conference on entrepreneurship: “Emerging Global Business Opportunities for Entrepreneurs - The word that changes the world - entrepreneurship” organised by the Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of Andhra Pradesh (ALEAP), commenced here Friday with technical sessions.

Though union minister for urban development M Venkaiah Naidu and state minister for health Kamineni Srinivas were supposed to attend, they postponed their visit and the conference commenced sans inaugural. The two ministers along with other guests are expected to participate in the valedictory session.

On day one, the issues discussed by experts from different fields included technology based interventions - department of science and technology, government of AP initiatives for MSMEs - the commissionerate of industries, agro processing: demand driven innovation technologies, demand driven opportunities in food processing, technologies in the areas of smart cities, model villages, e-Mobility and Manufacturing Sector solutions including partnering opportunities with STeinbeis-Steinbeis centre for technology transfer in India, vocational training and employment opportunities.

Topics such as initiatives of the World Bank in India, Angel Investing, SIDBI finance to MSMEs, Marketing Strategies - WE Connect International, Green Business Opportunities. On the final day, technical sessions will be held on topics such as green technologies, social entrepreneurship, knowledge sharing.
