It's Heat Wave Again in North Andhra Dists

VISAKHAPATNAM:North Andhra is back to square one with increasing temperatures Saturday. The temperatures hovered around 36 to 38 degrees Celsius in the three districts.

Visakhapatnam

After recording a pleasant decline in the intense heat wave and temperatures for the last couple of days, Visakhapatnam experienced mild heat wave conditions again Saturday.

The airport recorded  37.6 degree Celsius and Waltair 35 degree Celsius. As many as 185 deaths have been reported by the district administration till now, including four Saturday. Three of the deceased were from Nakkapalle mandal and one from the city, all aged over 50 years.

Vizianagaram

As many as 177 deaths have been reported by the district administration Saturday. Vizianagaram recorded 38 degree Celsius and Parvathipuram 37 degree Celsius. The district experienced heat wave Saturday.

Srikakulam

Srikakulam too saw a rise in the mercury and recorded 38 degree Celsius here Saturday as against 34 degree Celsius Friday. Heat wave was experienced in Srikakulam, Ranasthalam, Etcherla and Narasannapeta from Friday night itself. As many as 58 deaths have been reported till Saturday.
