IT Giant TCS Recruits 756 GITAM Students

VISAKHAPATNAM  : As many as 756 students of GITAM University were recruited during the placement drive conducted by IT giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) at the university campus recently. Following the results announced Saturday, the students gathered at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi on the campus to celebrate their success.

They were appointed to TCS’s product category for niche services in research and digital innovation labs. According to the university training and placement officer KV Ramesh, students made the achievement in the first placement session. Over 50 other recruiters have confirmed their dates to conduct recruitment drives in the GITAM which has secured a place in the TCS ‘A’ category list.

V-C  G Subrahmanyam said the university was also encouraging students to start their own enterprises in Vizag. Registrar M Potharaju, GITAM Institute of Technology principal K Lakshmiprasad and others were present.
