VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Loyola College’s department of Visual Communication students wrapped up their social campaign on organ donation taken up a fortnight ago and were appreciated for their efforts by the college management.
Patting their backs for the good work carried out during the valedictory of the campaign on the college campus here Wednesday, college vice-principal Melchior Raj suggested that Viscom students employ book reading for the betterment of their creative skills.
Dean of student activities Praveen Kumar congratulated the entire department for the success. Later, prizes for the facial painting and skit competitions held during the campaign were distributed to the winners from various colleges from the city.
Students from PVP Siddartha and Maris Stella have bagged 1st and 2nd prizes in Abhinaya - a short skit competition. Students from SRK Engineering College have bagged a special jury prize in facial painting. A theme song for the campaign, written and composed by the students of Visual communication - Swetha V, D Prakash, Paul Boaz and Aswathi Balakrishnan - earned a good response from the audience.
