TSR Lauded for Promotion of Art, Culture

VISAKHAPATNAM:T Subbarami Reddy Lalithakala Parishat conferred the title ‘Navarasa Kalabhinethri’ on veteran actress and former MP Jayaprada on the second day of Subbarami Reddy’s birthday celebrations here Sunday.

Cine stars Ambika, Roja, Manchu Lakshmi, Taapsee, Sanjana, Anita Chowdari and noted cine playback singers S Janaki, P Suseela and Jamuna Rani and a few others attended the b’day bash of Subbarami Reddy. A large number of political leaders from YSR Congress, Congress, CPI and Telugu Desam Party, including YV Subba Reddy, G Amarnath, KV Ramachandra Rao, N Raghuveera Reddy, P Balaraju, Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao, Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy, Narayana, Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao and former MP Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad attended the celebrations.

On the occasion, the guests expressed happiness that Subbarami Reddy was a generous donor. Playback singers and cine artistes lauded Reddy for his unstinted contribution to promotion of art and culture in the country.

Sridhara Swamiji of Mukkamala Kshetram, Moulana Mohammad Abdur Rehan Khan Quadri of Darul-Uloom Ishaquia, Nooriya Madina, Gurudwara Saheb, Ameerpet, head granthi S Gul Bahar Singhji and pastor P Jeevan Babu DYD, director, Pastoral Centre, Arch Bishop’s House were felicitated on the occasion.
