Three-day Fete for World Tourism Day in Vizag

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Tourism Department has planned to celebrate the World Tourism Day in a grand manner in the city and also at the agency tourist spots. Food courts, exhibitions, beautification of the tourist spots, seminars, traditional and folk dances have been planned to mark the occasion.

Revealing the arrangements, Tourism regional commissioner and VUDA vice-chairman T Baburao Naidu said that the government had decided to celebrate the event from September 25 to 27 at various places in the city and also at various tourism getaways in the agency. On the occasion, the APTDC announced 20 per cent discount on all its cottages and resorts. During the three days, the APTDC will organise a photo exhibition, cultural events, tourism fair and food courts at Viswa Priya Function Hall on the Beach Road.

Classical, Pot dance and Kuchipudi dance programmes, mimicry, cine musical nite, magic shows, western dance and tourism walk have been planned as part of the three-day celebrations.
