VISAKHAPATNAM:In yet another jolt to the rural cops, left wing extremists have kidnapped two tribals branding them as police informers at Karlapodar village of Munchingput mandal in Visakhapatnam agency in the wee hours of Thursday. The kidnapped have been identified as 37-year-old Vantala Dhanunjay and and his younger brother 30-year-old Vantala Neelakantham, who is Panchayat’s Sakshara Bharat co-ordinator.

Around 30 Red Rebels, including women, entered the village in the wee hours, dragged Dhanunjaya and Neelakantam out of the house and took them along with them. Sources added that the Red Rebels are planning to conduct a praja court Thursday night where the brothers would be prosecuted.

Meanwhile, locals and family members claimed that the brothers were not informers and are anxiously awaiting their return.
