PSLV-C30 Countdown Begins at SHAR

NELLORE:The countdown for Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle-C30 (PSLV C-30) began at Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota High Altitude Range (SHAR) here at 8 am on Saturday.

The PSLV-C30 will carry Astrosat, a fully assembled space observatory satellite designed by India, and two satellites designed by Indonesia and Canada, aside from four satellites of USA from the First Launch Pad of SHAR at 10 am on September 28.

According to sources, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has planned to launch the Astrosat to a 650 km near equatorial orbit around the Earth, with the aim to carry out multi-wavelength observations covering ultraviolet, optical radiation and X-rays and gamma rays.
