VISAKHAPATNAM : Taxi aggregator Ola launched auto-rickshaw services on its app here on Wednesday. Visakhapatnam becomes the 12th city in India to have Ola auto-rickshaw services after Bhopal, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar, Kota, Surat, Madurai, Guwahati, Coimbatore, Nagpur, Jodhpur and Udaipur.
According to a release, public can avail of the Ola autos round the clock. A base fare of Rs 20 will be applicable for the first one km and Rs 4/km thereafter, along with a ride fare of Rs 1/minute. However, an additional fare will be charged between 10 pm and 6 am. As an introductory offer, new customers can avail of one free auto ride up to Rs 50.
Customers can track their rides on the app and also share their ride details using the live map option in the app with friends and family. Ola also launched a new billing system that will record the details of the trip, including time of booking, distance travelled and fare payable, either in cash or through Ola money. Users can request a bill on completion of their ride.
